Lone Star Dry Rub
- 3/4 cup paprika
- 1/4 cup ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup chili powder, preferably homemade, or Gebhardts
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cayenne
- Mix the spices thoroughly in a bowl.
- You can store leftover rub in a tightly sealed jar in the refrigerator, but it will lose potency over time.
