Homemade Pork Rind
- Pre-heat the oven to 325f/160c/gas mark 3.
- Cut the skin into small pieces.
- Toss the skin in the salt.
- Place the pork pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper or foil.
- Put the skin in the oven for anywhere between 1.5 hours to 3 hours.
- A lot of recipes call for 3 hours I find that sometimes after 2 hours its ready for me.
- So use your own judgement on this one.
- Timing will vary depending on how thick the cuts are.
- You want it to be crispy but not rock hard.
- Remove it from the oven when ready.
- Let it cool to room temperature and enjoy.
- Note: that you will have to remove the build up of liquid fat from the baking tray
