Lasagna
- 8 oz. lean ground beef
- 22 oz. can tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 16 oz. cottage cheese
- 10 oz. grated Mozzarella
- 1 large onion
- 12 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 tsp. fennel seed
- 2 minced cloves garlic
- 8 oz. whole wheat lasagna noodles (uncooked)
- Brown and drain ground beef. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, onion (chopped) and spices.
- Simmer for 15 minutes.
- Layer lasagna noodles in 9 x 12-inch pan.
- Top with 1/2 cottage cheese and 1/2 sauce.
- Repeat.
- Bake at 350u0b0
- for 30 minutes.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake 30 minutes at 350u0b0.
- Top with Mozzarella cheese and bake additional 15 minutes.
- Let set several minutes before serving.
