Tomato Basil Sauce Recipe
- 1/4 c. extra virgin olive oil
- 1 c. minced onions
- 8 garlic cloves, finely minced
- 2 cans (35 ounce. each) plum tomatoes, liquid removed
- 2 tbsp. tomato paste
- 2 ounce. fresh basil
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly grnd black pepper
- Saute/fry onions and garlic in saucepan over medium heat.
- Add in tomatoes and tomato paste.
- Cover and cook 10 min, stirring once.
- Add in basil and pepper.
- Cook a couple more min, uncover and simmer 30 min.
- Remove from heat, cold and process briefly in blender or possibly food processor.
- Serve over your favorite noodles.
