Soft Ginger Cookies Recipe
- 2 c. all purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger
- Few grains of salt
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. dark molasses
- 1/4 c. sour lowfat milk
- 3/4 teaspoon soda
- Sift together flour, ginger and salt.
- Work in shortening; add in molasses, sour lowfat milk and soda dissolved in a little warm water; mix well and drop by teaspoonful onto greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 12 min.
- Yield: 3 dozen.
