Barbecue Berry Short Ribs Recipe

  1. Heat ribs in oil (few at a time) in 5-qt Dutch oven over medium heat till well-browned on all sides.
  2. Set ribs aside.
  3. Reduce heat to medium; add in onions and garlic to dripping in Dutch oven and cook till lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
  4. Spoon off fat.
  5. Return ribs to Dutch oven; stir in cranberry sauce, celery, water, catsup, horseradish, salt and pepper.
  6. Cover Dutch oven and bake at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 hrs, stirring occasionally.
  7. Skim fat off sauce.
  8. Yield: 8 servings.
