Black Bean Burgers Recipe
- 3 can Black beans, rinsed and liquid removed
- 2/3 c. Onion, finely minced
- 1/4 c. Red bell pepper, finely minced
- 1 Tbsp. Jalapeno pepper, finely minced
- 1 tsp Grnd cumin
- 3 Tbsp. Sesame seeds, roasted
- 1 Tbsp. Lime juice
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Peppr
- 2 Tbsp. Vegetable oil
- In large bowl, mash beans till most are smooth, leaving some intact.
- Add in onion, bell pepper, jalapeno pepper, cumin, sesame seeds, lime juice, salt and pepper; mix well.
- Divide mix into 8 equal patties about 3-1/2 inches in diameter.
- In large heavy frypan, heat oil over medium-low heat.
- Cook patties, in batches, for 8-10 min or possibly till lightly browned, tuning once and adding more oil if necessary.
- Carefully remove burgers from frypan to platter and tent with foil.
- Let stand 5 min before serving.
- Makes 8 burgers.
