Salty/Sweet Kettle Corn
- 1/4 cups Cooking Oil, Or As Needed
- 1/2 cups Unpopped Popcorn
- 18 cups Sugar
- 1 pinch Salt
- Add about 1-2 tablespoons of oil to the popcorn pan along with 1/4 cup of the popcorn.
- (You can also use a regular pan, as long as it has a good handle and cover.)
- Turn on the heat to about medium-high.
- Turn the crank, or shake the pan until the popping slows to about 2-3 seconds between pops, about 1-2 minutes.
- Pour into a large bowl and side aside.
- Clean out the popping pan.
- Add 1/8 cup oil to the pan, along with the sugar and salt and remaining 1/4 cup of popcorn.
- Heat on medium high.
- Turn the crank or shake, being careful not to burn the sugar, until popping slows to about 2-3 seconds between pops, about 1-3 minutes.
- Pour into the same bowl as the regular popcorn and toss.
- Top with your favorite popcorn toppings and enjoy.
