Dark Chili con Carne

  1. Cook and stir bacon in Dutch oven on medium heat until crisp.
  2. Remove bacon from pan; drain on paper towels.
  3. Discard drippings from pan.
  4. Add ground beef, onions, garlic, cocoa powder and seasonings to pan; cook until meat is evenly browned, stirring frequently.
  5. Add broth, beans, A.1., tomato paste and bacon; mix well.
  6. Simmer on low heat 40 min.
  7. or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
  8. Serve topped with cheese and tortilla chips.
