Hot Dogs with Beer-Braised Sauerkraut

  1. In a medium pot, bring hot dogs, beer, onions, and jalapenos (if using) to a simmer.
  2. Let simmer uncovered for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add sauerkraut and cover.
  4. Cook another 2 to 3 minutes.
  5. Mix in mustard just prior to removing from heat.
  6. Lightly toast the buns for a few minutes in the oven.
  7. Put hot dogs and sauerkraut mix in bun.
  8. Serve.
