High Five
- 1 1/4 ounces Averna amaro
- 1 3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup (see note)
- 1/4 ounce Snap liqueur
- 3 ounces Linden Street Old Brick Bitter or Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale
- 1 orange wheel, for garnish
- In a cocktail shaker three-quarters filled with ice, combine all ingredients except the beer and orange wheel.
- Shake until chilled, about 30 seconds.
- Strain into a Collins glass filled with ice.
- Top with the beer.
- Stir briefly with a bar spoon to integrate ingredients.
- Garnish with orange wheel.
