Gigi's Soupe A'l 'oignon

  1. Melt butter in saucepan.
  2. Slice onions very thin and cook in butter until golden brown.
  3. Add stock and water and boil 15 minutes until onions are cooked.
  4. Season with salt and butter.
  5. Serve with toast squares.
