Spinach and Mushroom Pizza with Garlic White Sauce
- 1 package (about 16 To 18 Ounces) Whole Wheat Pizza Dough
- 1 slice Small Onion
- 5 ounces, weight Small Mushrooms, Sliced
- 6 slices Microwave Bacon, Crumbled
- 1/2 packages (6 Oz. Package) Fresh Baby Spinach, Torn
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese
- 4 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 3 Tablespoons Flour
- 1 cup Milk
- Prepare the whole wheat pizza dough.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet or pizza sheet with parchment paper (to prevent sticking).
- Garlic Sauce: Mince garlic, and saute in the butter in a small saucepan.
- Whisk together flour and milk; add to the garlic and butter.
- Stir until thick.
- Remove from heat, set aside.
- Saute onions and mushrooms in olive oil until tender and browned.
- Prepare other ingredients as listed.
- Spread garlic white sauce over the whole wheat crust.
- Top with sauted onions and mushrooms.
- Tear spinach and place over onions and mushrooms.
- Crumble bacon on top and top with mozzerella.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until top is golden brown.
- You may serve this with a side of marinara sauce for dipping the crust.
