brat stew
- 2 lb brats
- 1 season to taste
- 1 small onion
- 5 potatoes, chopped
- 1 can corn
- 1 packages baby carrots
- 4 stick celery, chopped
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- quarter the brats so that you have several peices
- fry to medium rare in a big stew pot in the oil
- add potatoes, celery, carrots, onion, corn *may add whatever you have on hand that sounds good to your tastebuds
- add 6 cups of water.
- *if you feel it needs more add more
- boil until potatoes are done
- mix COLD water and flour in a jar.
- seal and shake until mixed.
- add this thickening to the stew
- season to taste and stir until thick bringing stew to a boil.
- let simmer on medium heat for a few minutes
- may serve over warm butter biscuits
