Ham with Tart Berry Sauce

  1. Sprinkle ham generously with pepper.
  2. Melt 1 1/2 tablespoons butter in medium nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add ham and saute until brown at edges, about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Transfer ham to plates; tent with foil to keep warm.
  5. Reduce heat to medium.
  6. Add remaining 1/2 tablespoon butter to same skillet.
  7. Add shallots and mustard and stir until shallots begin to soften, about 2 minutes.
  8. Mix in lingonberries, water and red wine vinegar.
  9. Stir until sauce thickens, about 1 minute; season sauce to taste with salt and pepper.
  10. Spoon sauce over ham and serve.
