Grandma's Cabbage Slaw
- 2 cups red cabbage, finely shredded
- 1 cup green cabbage, fienly shredded
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cups tart apples, finely shredded
- 1 tablespoon horseradish
- 13 cup honey
- 13 cup wine, viengar white
- 34 cup salad oil
- 1 dash salt
- 1 dash fresh ground black pepper
- Put cabbage, onion and apple into large salad bowl.
- Toss lightly.
- Add horseradish.
- For dressing, combine honey, vinegar, oil and spices in screw top jar.
- Shake until honey is dissolved.
- Pour dressing over cabbage mixtrue, tossing to blend well.
- Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving for flavors to blend.
- Toss gently before serving.
