Roasted Garlic and Herb Pizza Bites
- 1 bulb Garlic
- 1/2 whole Recipe Pizza Dough
- 1/2 cups Prepared Pizza Sauce
- Dried Oregano
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/4 cups Fresh Basil, Chopped
- 2 teaspoons Fresh Thyme Leaves
- Olive Oil, For Drizzling
- Sea Salt, to taste
- For roasted garlic:
- Roast garlic by cutting the top off a bulb.
- Place on a piece of foil, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt before securing foil around garlic.
- Bake for 45 minutes in a 350-degree oven.
- For the pizza:
- Place a pizza stone in a cold oven.
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Roll out pizza dough about 1/8 inch thick.
- Using a biscuit cutter, cut out circles from the dough.
- Spoon sauce over dough circles.
- Sprinkle with dried oregano.
- Top with a small mound of mozzarella cheese and a couple pieces of roasted garlic.
- Repeat with remaining dough circles.
- Carefully transfer circles to the hot stone and bake for 8-10 minutes or until bottoms of pizza bites are golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and transfer to a platter.
- Top each pizza bite with fresh basil and thyme, a light pinch of sea salt and a drizzle of olive oil.
- Makes about 2 dozen.
