Kay's 3/4 Pound Cake
- 3 sticks butter (not margarine)
- 3 cups (700 ml) sugar
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
- 1 tsp (5 ml) whiskey
- 8 large eggs
- 3 cups (700 ml) sifted cake flour
- Cream together well the butter and sugar.
- Add 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla and whiskey.
- Add eggs one at a time while beating batter.
- Fold in the sifted cake flour.
- Pour into tube or large Bundt pan.
- Cook in a preheated 350 degree (175 C.) oven for about 90 minutes.
