Bacon-Wrapped Pork and Apple Patties

  1. In a large bowl combine oats, sage, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. Stir in applesauce, egg and green onion and mix well.
  3. Stir in ground pork until well blended.
  4. Form into 4 patties about 3/4 to 1-inch thick.
  5. Wrap a bacon strip around each patty and secure with a toothpick.
  6. Grill or broil 4-5 minutes on each side.
  7. Meanwhile in a small skillet, cook and stir apples and onions in hot oil until tender.
  8. Sprinkle lightly with salt.
  9. Serve with patties.
