Smokey Blue Ribbon Cheese Soup

  1. satue bacon,smoked sausage, onion, and garlic in large stock pot until sausage is browned and onion is caramelized
  2. stir in flour and cook for 4-5 min
  3. add beer and bring to a rolling boil for 5 min
  4. reduce heat to medium and add cheese stirring until melted.
  5. If it gets too thick thin it out with some of the milk
  6. add the rest of the milk and simmer 20-30 min stirring frequently to keep from scorching
  7. serve with crackers, bread sticks, or soft pretzels and enjoy
