Chocolate Chip Gingerbread Cookies Recipe

  1. Cream butter; gradually add in sugar; beating well.
  2. Add in half and half, lemon juice, ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg, beating till well blended.
  3. Combine flour, baking pwdr and soda; stir well.
  4. Add in flour mix to butter mix alternately with molasses, beginning and ending with flour mix.
  5. Stir in chocolate morsels.
  6. Chill dough at least 2 hrs.
  7. Work with 1/2 of dough at a time.
  8. Roll to 1/4" thickness, cut with cookie cutter and place on greased and floured cookie sheet (or possibly use Teflon sheet).
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 min.
  10. Cold on wire racks.
  11. Continue cutting cookies till all dough is used.
  12. Makes 5 dozen 2" cookies.
