  1. pressure cook washed rice, salt n dal with 3 cups of water for 3 to 4 whistle
  2. in pan add ghee and fry cumin seeds, pepper and cashews and add it to the rice
  3. this is a very easy and delicious dish.
  4. its good for weaning kids too tastes delicious with sambar (check out my no fat sambar recipe and I would soon be uploading a drumstick sambar recipe )
  5. bajji or vada would be a good compliment to this dish
