Calumet Nut Or Raisin Bread Recipe

  1. Sift flour once, measure, add in baking pwdr and salt, and sift together three times.
  2. Add in nuts.
  3. Cream butter, and add in sugar; then add in egg, lowfat milk, and flour.
  4. Stir only till smooth.
  5. Bake in greased loaf pan, 9x4x3 inches, in moderate oven (350 degrees) 1 hour and 10 min.
  6. Note: One c. raisins may be used instead of nuts.
