Meat-Wrapped Chikuwa and Cheese
- 4 Chikuwa
- 2 pieces Cream cheese blocks
- 4 Thinly sliced pork
- 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1 1/2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp Mirin
- Cut the cheese into 4 equal length strips and tuck them inside the chikuwa.
- Wrap the pork around the chikuwa.
- Cut each piece in half.
- Combine the ingredients.
- In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon oil.
- Place the wraps in the pan and fry until the meat is browned.
- Glaze by adding the liquid mixture from Step 1, and cook until shiny.
- They're great as the main dish in bentos.
