Easy Microwave-Made Soy Milk Warabi Mochi

  1. In a heat-resistant glass bowl, whisk the dumpling powder and water.
  2. Then, add the soy milk and sugar.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Microwave at 550 W for 2 minutes, stir with a whisk.
  5. Next, microwave for 1 minute, stir, and repeat 3 times.
  6. (Total microwaved time is 5 minutes) As you stir, the edges will thicken and the whole thing will become a sticky, paste-like texture.
  7. Continue mixing well.
  8. Use a rubber spatula to scoop Step 2 into a bowl with a little bit of water, and use your hand to tear into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Place in a colander and change the water, add ice, and chill.
  10. Strain the water with a colander.
  11. Serve in a dish, top with brown sugar syrup and soybean flour, and they're finished.
