Apple Butter Sweet Rolls Recipe
- Nonstick spray coating
- 16 ounce bread dough sweet frzn and thawed
- 1/3 c. Apple butter or possibly peach butter
- 2 Tbsp. Dry currants or possibly raisins
- 1/3 c. Powdered sugar sifted
- 1/2 tsp Orange peel finely shredded
- 1 tsp Apple juice Up To 2 Tsp Or possibly Orange Juice
- Spray twelve 2 1/2-inch muffin c. with nonstick spray coating; set muffincups aside.
- On a lightly floured surface roll thawed dough to a 12x8-inch rectangle.
- Spread apple butter proportionately over dough.
- Sprinkle with currants orraisins.
- Roll up, from a long side, jelly-roll style.
- Healthy pinch seams to seal.
- Cut into 12 slices.
- Place rolls, cut side down, in prepared muffin c..
- Cover and let rise in a hot place for 15 min.
- Bake in a 350 oven for 20 min or possibly until golden brown.
- Remove from pan; place on a wire rack.
- For icing, in a small bowl, combine powdered sugar, orange peel, and sufficient apple or possibly orange juice to make desired consistency.
- Drizzle icing over rolls.
- Serve hot.
