Blondie's Mom's Bucky Badger Balls
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract (I use extra)
- 1 cup chopped almonds, toasted and cooled
- 12 oz chocolate chips
- 2 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 lb (2 sticks) butter, softened
- 1 confectioners' sugar
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the butter and sugars, and cream them together until fluffy.
- Beat in the vanilla, then stir in the almonds and chocolate chips.
- Add the flour, and knead the dough with your fingers until the flour is incorporated.
- Roll the dough into 1 inch thick balls, and place them on ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake the cookies for 15 minutes.
- Cool them slightly on the baking sheet, then roll them in confectioners' sugar.
- Cool the cookies completely, and store them in an airtight tin.
