Stromboli

  1. Preheat oven to 375o.
  2. Get out your dough.
  3. Store bought is fine for this.
  4. Roll out your dough into a rectangular shape.
  5. Put a layer of cheese over the entire surface, leaving about an inch of dough showing on all the ends and maybe 1/2 inch at the long sides.
  6. Put a layer of meat over the cheese, again leaving room all the way around.
  7. Sprinkle a fine layer of each garlic powder, oregano and parsley over the meat.
  8. Roll it up starting at one of the shorter ends.
  9. Place it on a greased baking sheet seam down.
  10. Use a brush to paint the entire exposed surface with the egg yolk.
  11. Sprinkle a little cheese and parsley over the top and bake at 375o for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown all over.
  12. Let stand a few minutes before serving.
  13. For a twist, add a marinara sauce or ranch to dip it in!
