Easy Microwave-Steamed Pork and Chinese Cabbage Wraps
- 6 leaves Chinese cabbage
- 12 slice Thinly sliced pork
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 Green onions
- 6 tbsp Water
- 3 tbsp Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
- 1/2 knob Grated ginger
- 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tbsp Katakuriko
- Put the Chinese cabbage leaves in a large pot and fill to about 80% with water.
- Boil until soft.
- Drain with a colander or sieve.
- Spread out the cooked cabbage.
- Place 2 slices of pork on top.
- Wrap up tightly, working from the stem.
- Carve the stem if it's too thick.
- Align on a microwave-safe dish with the open ends facing down.
- Sprinkle sake and cover with plastic wrap.
- Microwave for 5.5 minutes at 600W.
- Put the condiments into a small pan.
- Stir until thick.
- Slice the cooked cabbage wraps in half, and arrange on a serving dish.
- Pour over the thick sauce from step 4.
- Scatter green onions to finish.
