Pork Chop Spanish Rice Recipe
- 5 pork chops
- 2 teaspoon shortening
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- Dash pepper
- 3/4 uncooked rice
- 1/2 minced onion
- 1/4 c. minced green pepper
- 1 large can tomatoes (1 pound 12 ounce. can)
- 5 green pepper rings
- 1/2 c. shredded sharp American cheese
- Slowly brown chops in shortening for 15 to 20 min and drain.
- Combine salt, chili pwdr and pepper; sprinkle over chops.
- Add in rice, onion, minced pepper and tomatoes.
- Cover and slowly cook 35 min, stirring occasionally.
- Add in green pepper rings and cook 5 more mounds, or possibly till rice and meat are tender.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
