Sesame Yogurt Sauce
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, cored, seeded and diced
- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 2 Tbsp. sesame seed
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 c. peeled and chopped green chili peppers
- 1 c. plain yogurt
- 1/2 tsp. salt substitute
- 1/4 tsp. ground cumin
- In a medium-size skillet, saute the onion and bell pepper in oil over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until soft.
- In a small dry skillet, saute the sesame seed until they are golden. Add the garlic and green chili peppers to the onion mixture and cook several minutes more, stirring constantly.
- Add the sesame seed and stir.
- Remove from heat and stir in the yogurt, salt substitute and cumin.
- Serve hot over cooked grains, pasta or vegetables.
