Hot Crabmeat & Artichoke Dip Recipe
- 1/4 pound unsalted butter
- 1 onion, finely minced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 c. flour
- 5-6 green onions, finely minced
- 1 pt. half & half
- 1 pound lump crabmeat
- 1 (13 3/4 ounce.) can artichoke hearts, liquid removed & quartered
- 1/4 c. white wine
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Heat butter in heavy saucepan.
- Saute/fry onion and garlic about 5 min.
- Stir in flour gradually.
- Cook over low heat 3-5 min.
- Add in green onions.
- Cook 1-2 min.
- Add in half & half and stir constantly over low heat till mix begins to thicken.
- Add in crabmeat and artichokes, wine, salt and pepper.
- Cook 5-10 min.
- Serve warm with crackers.
