Lisa's Fusion Stew
- 1 lb beef stew meat (cubed)
- 1 cup flour (with salt, pepper, oregano, parsely mixed in)
- 3 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 onion (diced)
- 3 garlic cloves (diced)
- 8 ounces sweet and sour sauce
- 6 ounces chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons worchestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 lb sliced mushrooms
- salt & pepper
- Heat a few tablespoons of oil in a fry pan.
- Dredge the beef in the flour mixture and add to the heated oil in pan.
- Also add the onion, red pepper flake, and then the garlic when the meat is almost browned.
- Once the meat is browned, add the sweet & sour sauce, the chili sauce, the worchestershire and sprinkling of salt & pepper.
- Let the sauce simmer and cook down for 10 minutes or so.
- Grease your crockpot insert.
- Put the pan contents in the crockpot, along with the package of mushrooms.
- Give it a stir.
- Place crockpot on low setting, and allow to cook for at least 8 hours.
- Serve over rice or noodles.
- Really very good.
