Butter Wafers

  1. In a bowl, cream butter and confectioners' sugar.
  2. Combine flour and cornstarch; add to creamed mixture and mix well.
  3. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets (cookies will spread).
  4. Sprinkle with colored sugar if desired.
  5. Bake at 325 for 12-15 minutes or until edges are lightly browned and tops are set.
  6. Cool for 2 minutes before carefully removing to wire racks.
  7. Yield: about 2-1/2 dozen.
