Whole Grain Pan Rolls Recipe

  1. Combine water, honey, and butter in a small saucepan; heat till butter melts.
  2. Cold to 120 degrees.
  3. Combine wheat flour, oats, yeast, and salt in a large mixing bowl; stir well.
  4. Gradually add in warm liquid mix, beating at low speed of an electric mixer for one minute.
  5. Add in egg, and beat an additional 2 min at medium speed.
  6. Gradually add in all- purpose flour to make a soft dough.
  7. Turn dough out onto a heavily floured surface, and knead till smooth and elastic (about 8 min).
  8. Shape dough into 24 balls; place in a lightly greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  9. Cover and let rise in a hot place (85 degrees), free from drafts, 1 hour or possibly till doubled in bulk.
  10. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 min or possibly till lightly browned.
