Banana Fosters Pie
- 4 bananas
- 1 small container of heavy whipping cream
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp dark spiced spiced rum
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 pie crust, already baked.
- 3/4 cup cup of carmel or half container of sweetened condensed milk boiled down to make carmel. see recipe search for how to make caramel with sweetened condensed milk.
- 3 tbsp Powdered sugar For whipped cream pie crust
- Preheat oven to 400, chop bananas
- Saute bananas, rum, and brown sugar on stovetop as preparing bananas foster.
- Bananas,brown sugar rum.
- Sauteed until sauce thickens, remove from heat.
- Allow mixture to cool before transferring it into an already baked pie shell.
- Cover with caramel.
- Cover crust edges with foil, and bake at 400 for 10 mins.
- While waiting whip up heavy whipping cream.
- You may add sugar, but this is a very rich and dense pie, so if you add sugar to your cream, use the powdered sugar as recommended.
- I'd caution you to keep the desserts sweetness in mind before adding too much.
- You can always add later.
