Beef Barbecue Sticks Recipe

  1. From the Philipines.
  2. The advantage of this recipe is which is can be done a day in advance.
  3. The meat should marinate for at least 1 1/2 hrs for an intense flavor.
  4. If less time is allowed, the flavor will be obvious but less intense.
  5. Skewer 2 beef strips as flat as possible on each bamboo stick.
  6. Combine sugar, soy sauce, pepper, 7-Up and garlic in bowl.
  7. Pour proportionately over beef skewers.
  8. Cover and chill at least 1 1/2 hrs.
  9. Grill or possibly broil till marinade caramelizes at edge of meat, about 2 min per side.
