Christmas Morning French Bread
- 1 loaf cinnamon-raisin bread, cubed
- 1 packages cream cheese, cubed and room tempature (8 oz block)
- 8 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/2 cup half and half cream
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 *** 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 *** Sasha's Berry Butter from my profile can be served with while its warm... take out butter and let it get room tempature so that it is soft.
- place 1/2 the bread cubes in buttered 13x9 casserole pan.
- put cream cheese cubes and top with remaining bread.
- mix the remain ingredients in a bowl and pour over bread... cover and refrigerate overnight.
- remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking .....
- bake at 350 for 30 minutes covered.... uncover and bake for 15-20 minutes ..
- it is done when I knife inserted near the center comes out clean!!
