New Style Beef Stroganoff
- 1 12 lbs top round steaks
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 12 teaspoon paprika
- 10 12 ounces beef broth
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon red wine
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 14 cup cold water
- 14 lb mushroom, chopped
- 34 cup sour cream
- Trim all visible fat from the steak.
- Cut steak into thick slices, Place steak in the slow cooker.
- Add onion, garlic, worcestershire sauce, pepper, salt, paprika, broth, ketchup and wine.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 - 8 hours or until steak is tender.
- Turn control to high.
- Dissolve cornstarch in water.
- Add to cooker.
- Stir in mushrooms.
- Cover and cook 15 - 30 minutes or until bubbly.
- Stir in sour cream, stirring to blend.
- Serve over buttered noodles.
