Bolognese Noodles Recipe
- 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. medium noodles
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1/3 c. minced onion
- 1/3 c. minced green pepper
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce.) can condensed cream of celery soup
- 1 (8 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 1/2 c. (6 ounce.) shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, crushed
- 4 frankfurters, thinly sliced (Kielbasa can be substituted)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cook noodles according to directions; rinse and drain.
- Heat butter in a large saucepan; saute/fry onions and green pepper till tender, about 5 min.
- Stir in soup, tomato sauce, lowfat milk, one c. of the cheese, and oregano.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in noodles and frankfurters; turn into two qt casserole.
- Bake 25 to 30 min or possibly till warm and bubbly.
- Remove from oven; sprinkle with 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese.
- Let stand till cheese melts.
