Rye Toasts with Smoked Salmon
- 8 slices Rye Bread
- 6 teaspoons Low-fat Cream Cheese
- 1 whole English Cucumber, Sliced Or Chopped
- 4 ounces, weight Smoked Salmon
- 1/2 whole Red Onion , Sliced Or Chopped
- 1 teaspoon Capers
- Pepper To Taste
- Lemon Juice, Just A Squeeze, Optional Garnish
- Assembling the toasts is easy.
- 1.
- Toast the slices of bread until golden brown.
- 2.
- Spread 2 teaspoons cream cheese on each toast.
- Divide cucumber, salmon, onions, and capers among toasts; season with pepper.
- 3.
- You can squeeze lemon juice on top, but I normally do not.
- 4.
- Once assembled, serve and enjoy!
