Sheona's Easy Hamburger Potato Hash
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 tablespoons brown gravy mix (enough to make two cups gravy)
- 2 12 cups water
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 12 lbs potatoes, quartered and then sliced into 1/4 in slices (any potatoes will work, the best tasting ones are red potatoes.)
- salt and pepper
- In large lidded frying pan heat oil, add potatoes and cover stirring occasionally until the potatoes are done.
- Meanwhile in a medium size pot, cook your hamburger, onion, and garlic, until hamburger is no longer pink, breaking up large chunks.
- Drain meat if necessary and return to pot.
- Sprinkle gravy mix into the meat and onions stir well to coat meat.
- Add water and stir.
- Add potatoes to the pot and stir well.
- Let cool for five to ten minutes and serve.
