Kjotsupa - Mutton Soup
- 1 kg lamb, cut in chunks
- 1 12 liters water
- 1 onion, coarsely chopped
- 500 g white cabbage, chopped
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 500 g swede, peeled and cut into chunks
- 12 cup rice
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper, white
- Place lamb in large pan and cover with water adding seasoning and bring to the boil.
- Skim of the scum as it rises to the top and cook for 30 minutes.
- Add the vegetables and rice and cook a further 45 minutes.
