Old Time Peanut Butter Cookies
- 12 cup butter, softened
- 12 cup butter flavor shortening
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 12 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Cream the butter, butter flavored shortening, white sugar and brown sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, until blended.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla.
- Add dry ingredients until blended.
- Drop cookies by tablespoonsful or with a cookie scoop about 3 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Lightly criss-cross with a fork dipped in sugar.
- Bake in a pre-heated oven at 375 degrees about 8 to 10 minutes until cookies are set and just lightly browned.
- Do not overbake!
- Let rest on cookie sheets about 2 minutes before removing to a cooling rack.
