Barley-Oat Chocolate Chip Bars
- 12 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup regular rolled oats
- 12 cup barley flour
- 12 cup oat bran
- 14 cup wheat bran
- 5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
- 2 tablespoons ground flax seeds
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 14 teaspoon baking soda
- 14 cup olive oil
- 12 cup honey
- 5 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- preheat oven to 350.
- mix all the dry ingredients together.
- add oil, honey, water, and vanilla.
- stir in chocolate, walnuts, and coconut.
- line 12 x 17 inch cookie pan with parchment paper.
- Place dough in center of pan and cover with wax paper.
- Using rolling pin,spread dough to fill the pan, remove the wax paper and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let set for 5 minutes.
- Slide parchment paper onto counter and cut bars to desired size.
- Place bars on wire racks to finish cooling.
