Homestyle Pork Chile Verde
- 3 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/2 white onion
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pork butt cut into chunks
- 15 peeled and washed tomatillos
- 3 Serrano chilies
- 1 jalapeno
- 1/2 white onion
- 1 1/2 tbsp chicken bullion
- 1 tbsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch cloves
- 1 tbsp garlic salt
- 4 clove garlic
- 1/2 bunch cilantro
- start by cutting pork & trimming fat if any, add to pot of boiling water with all ingredients cook till tender.
- set aside.
- chili: take tops of chilies add to pot with onion, garlic and peeled & washed tomatillos.boil till tender about 15-20minutes.
- add ingredients 2 cups of chili water and all all seasonings to blender.Blend well add cilantro blend again and check for seasonings.
- add oil to a large skillet add in meat from pan cook about 10minutes slightly giving color, now add in your sauce, & 1-2 cups of pork broth cook another 10-15 minutes.
