Creamy Mashed Potato Bake
- 3 cups hot mashed potatoes (, fresh, leftover, or instant)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 14 cup milk
- 14 teaspoon garlic powder (I usually add more)
- 1 13 cups French-fried onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (I like to use sharp)
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Combine potatoes, sour cream, milk and garlic powder in a large bowl; mix well.
- Spoon half the mixture into a 2 quart lightly greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle with 2/3 cup of french fried onions and 1/2 cup of cheese.
- Top with remaining potato mixture.
- Bake for 30 minutes until hot all the way through.
- Top with remaining onions and cheese.
- Bake for 5 minutes or until onions are golden.
