Norwegian Apple Pie

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Mix sugar, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, pecans, & salt.
  3. Stir in egg whites.
  4. Toss in apple slices until well coated.
  5. Pour mixture into piecrust and bake 30-45 minutes.
  6. Notes/Variations: To avoid burnt crust, cover crust with foil for first 20-25 minutes of baking.
