No Need for Baking Soda or Nails! Delicious Stewed 'Kuromame' Black Soybeans
- 250 grams Kuromame
- 160 grams Sugar
- 1 and 1/2 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 50 ml Sake
- 1 dash Salt
- 1200 ml Water
- Put the seasonings and water in a pot, then bring to a boil.
- Rinse the kuromame, then add to the pot.
- Cover with a lid, then let sit for about 12 hours.
- Bring the beans to a boil, reduce to low-medium to low heat, and simmer.
- While it's simmering, add water 4 or 5 times, add about 1 cup of water (to prevent the water from boiling down).
- Remove from heat.
- Cover with a lid, then let sit for about 12 hours.
- By repeating the process of heating, then letting it sit for 12 hours, the flavors will absorb well, making it tasty!
