AMIEs ITALIAN SPAGGETTI
- 2 tbsps. cooking oil
- 2 tbsps. butter
- 2 onions, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 1 stalk celery, chooped
- 100 grams ground pork
- 1/2 kg ground beef (round)
- 2 tbsp vino bianco
- 6 basil leaves
- 1 dash of pepper
- 1 1/2 cup tomatoe sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup grated cheese
- 1 box spaghetti
- Heat cooking oil, add butter.
- Cook crushed darlic until become brown.
- Mix and cook onions slowly until tender.
- Add celery.
- Add ground pork cook 10 minutes.
- Then add beef, wine and spices.
- Allow to cook for minutes and add the tomatoe sauce and boiling water.
- Correct seasoning.
- Allow to simmer gently for an hour or until thick.
- A little flour may be added if the sauce is too thin.
- For Spaggetti: 1 box spaghetti - 8 oz.
- Pour water in a pan.
- Let boil, put salt and add spaghetti.
- Bring back to boil.
- Spaggetti may be done in 8-10 minutes.
- It is best not to overcook.
- When done, drain on a colander and add butter to prevent lumping.
- Pour in tomatoe meat sauce.
- Mix well.
- Sprinkle with grated cheese.
